Course Description

QA teams are vital to the success of video games, and building a great QA team requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach. This class will introduce ways to identify the needs of the studio, company, and project, and build a QA team that fits within those goals. Additionally, there will be a heavy emphasis on ways to advocate for the QA team early, ensuring that the team is set up for long-term success.

This course will cover hiring, growth, collaboration, and advocating for a QA team in any size studio or company.


Course Type

Two-day course: This is a single course that takes place completely virtually over Zoom for two four-hour days with limited breaks.


Intended Audience

This course would be great for anyone who is currently building or looking to build a QA team at their game studio or publishing label of any size, on games of any size. This course will be taught from the perspective of a QA Manager and Production Manager who have worked together to build QA teams from scratch.

Instructor Bios

Anthony Price has worked in QA for 20 years and has shipped over 25 titles. He is currently the Director of Quality Assurance at Private Division in Las Vegas and oversees the QA team that supports the entire portfolio of games. Previously, Anthony worked for Electronic Arts at the Tiburon studio (Orlando) and for Microsoft Games.
