What happened to the Game Developers Conference 2020?
In response to the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we made the difficult decision to postpone GDC 2020.
Thanks to submissions from many of the speakers who had talks planned for GDC 2020, we were able to stream recorded versions of their GDC sessions on the official GDC Twitch channel on March 16-20.
Virtual awards ceremonies for The Independent Games Festival (IGF) and Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) and a virtualized 2020 edition of the Day of the Devs showcase were also streamed on March 18.
All the pre-recorded GDC 2020 videos are now available to watch on GDC Vault for free.
