Tips for Getting the Word Out

The 2024 Game Developers Conference is coming up, and we’re encouraging every speaker to promote their sessions through their social networks. Feel free to follow along with this step-by-step guide, designed to help you get the word out on social media—which means more eyes on your upcoming talk! 

  1. Find the link to your talk on Session Viewer to feature in your post on social media. 
  2. In the copy of your social post, include your session title and topic, as well as the hashtag #GDC2024. 
  3. You’re also encouraged to include hashtags related to your session’s topic, discipline or Summit (if applicable), e.g. #audio, #tabletop, #narrative, #advocacysummit, etc.  
  4. Feel free to directly tag GDC (X and Instagram: @Official_GDC), as it helps the social team keep track and repost! 
  5. Ideal times to post are between 11:00am and 1:00pm ET—preferably on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays. Though any day is a good day to promote!
