The Independent Games Festival has been the launching point for some of the industry's biggest indie games—including hits like Outer Wilds, Inscryption, and even Minecraft. Now, several of our incredible IGF Awards finalists and winners are being honored at the first-ever IGF Celebration Days Steam event, featuring 80+ iconic indie games.

From July 11 through July 20, 2024, dozens of IGF-featured games and studios will be brought together in one massive event on Steam, with discounts on most of the games featured. These include IGF 2024 winners like: Seumas McNally Grand Prize winner Venba (Visai Games), Excellence in Narrative winner Mediterranea Inferno (EYEGUYS / Santa Ragione), Excellence in Design winner Cryptmaster (Paul Hart & Lee Williams / Akupara Games), and Best Student Game Once Upon a Jester (Bonte Avond / Crunching Koalas).
IGF Celebration Days is a Steam event organized by Once Upon a Jester studio Crunching Koalas, in collaboration with the Independent Games Festival, the Game Developers Conference, and dozens of indie studios. The July 11 Steam launch features a livestream, starting at 12:00pm PT, highlighting several indie games and studios, as well as a special message from IGF chairperson Shawn Pierre.
In addition to the winners and nominees from IGF 2024, several notable studios from IGF's past are represented. These include Seumas McNally Grand Prize winners like: Betrayal at Club Low (2023), Umurangi Generation (2021), A Short Hike (2020), Her Story (2016), Outer Wilds (2015), Blueberry Garden (2009), and Inscryption (2022), which was the first video game in history to win grand prize at both the IGF Awards and the Game Developers Choice Awards in the same year.
You can expect to find many other well-known indie games featured at the Independent Games Festival over the years, including: Celeste (2018), The Stanley Parable (2014), Ladykiller in a Bind (2017), Braid (2006), Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (2016), and many more. Looking for something new? Several IGF-featured studios have included newer releases in the event, showcasing what they've been up to since the awards show.

IGF Celebration Days is happening July 11 through July 20, only on Steam. It's a place to celebrate indie games, the people who made them, and the future of the industry.
