Get Your Portfolio Reviewed and More at the GDC 2022 Game Career Seminar

The Game Career Seminar at GDC 2022 is here to provide the tools and tips needed to help you succeed—including our highly sought-after Portfolio Reviews, now available in-person and virtually!

The Game Developers Conference is hosting a series of exciting sessions about building your game dev career through the Game Career Seminar. Whether it's your first time in the industry, or you're looking to switch jobs, building your career as an artist has never been more competitive. That's why it's key to seek out professional advice and help from those who know the industry best.

The 2022 "GDC Portfolio Reviews" will be available for in-person and virtual pass holders on Friday, March 25 from 2-5pm PT. Take this opportunity to speak one-on-one with an industry professional to get constructive critiques and seek advice without the stress of an interview.

In-person pass holders will queue and be seen on a first-come, first-served basis during scheduled portfolio reviews, and no pre-registration is required.

If you're a pass holder joining virtually, you must submit your digital art portfolio by Friday, February 25 at 11:59pm PT to be reviewed and assigned a timeslot. Email the registration team here with your information for a link to sign up!

Other notable Game Career Seminar sessions include:

"Making It Happen: How to Launch a Games Career"—a series of microtalks about everything from writing your cover letter to alternative pathways for breaking into the industry. Attendees will gain insight into the experiences of a diverse panel of industry professionals, obtaining knowledge about application processes, hiring practices, effective networking, and more.

"Connections: Accessible and Practical Networking Advice"—Code Coven's Sherveen Uduwana and Francesca Carletto-Leon will share knowledge gained from years running remote game boot camps and classrooms, and convey their strategies for effective networking that are accessible for all.

"Full Circle: From Game Jams to Industry and Back"—a group of panelists discuss strategies for game jamming, practical and networking skills development, and moving from a prototype to a shippable product.

The Game Career Seminar and Portfolio Review sessions are available for all GDC pass-holders. So be sure to register for GDC 2022 today!
