GDC 2022 Session Breaks Down One Frame in 'Halo Infinite'

A single frame can tell you everything about a video game. For this GDC 2022 session, it's a glance under the hood at one of the most-hyped games of the year: Halo Infinite.

"One Frame in Halo Infinite" is an exciting session happening at the Game Developers Conference in March. During this session on Wednesday, March from 2:00 to 3:00pm PT, Daniele Giannetti, principle architect at 343 Industries - Microsoft, will explore solutions their studio built for efficient cross-platform execution in Halo Infinite" and beyond—detailing the high-level structure of a single frame in the game and how it was executed across generational consoles (like PlayStation and Xbox), PCs, and virtual machines.

Curious to know how 343 Industries moved from a fixed 60 fps to a variable framerate solution, something that can make all the difference when programming for cross-platform releases? This is the session for you!

Head to the Game Developers Conference next March to get an inside look at Halo Infinite, and so much more. Register for GDC 2022 today!

GDC returns in-person to San Francisco, March 21-25, 2022—registration is now open! For more information on GDC 2022, be sure to visit our website and follow the #GDC22 hashtag on social media.
