The 2025 Independent Games Festival Awards and Game Developers Choice Awards spotlight some of the industry's biggest games and rising stars, and we want you to be part of the moment.
We are inviting a select number of content creators to co-stream our awards shows live, taking place on Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30pm PT. Official co-streamers will receive a special toolkit of images and assets, they'll be listed on the GDC website as an official co-streamer, and will be promoted on GDC social media.

We're seeking content creators whose work celebrates the art of games and the creativity of those who make them, and whose audience is consistent, uplifting, and engaged. Priority will be given to content creators who are also game developers, as part of our mission to showcase developers and their work.
Register for GDC 2025
The IGF Awards are part of the longest-running festival, summit, and showcase celebrating independent games their creators. This year, Jenny Jiao Hsia's Consume Me, a darkly humorous personal game about Jenny's relationship with food, leads with five nominations. Consume Me is followed by Julián Cordero and Sebastian Valbuena's slice-of-life adventure Despelote, Odd Meter's INDIKA, and Freehold Games' Caves of Qud.
The Game Developers Choice Awards are the premier accolades for peer recognition in the digital games industry. This year's nominations are led by Astro Bot (Team ASOBI / Sony Interactive Entertainment) and Black Myth: Wukong (Game Science), receiving seven nominations each. Both are finalists for the highly coveted Game of the Year Award, alongside Balatro (LocalThunk / Playstack), Helldivers 2 (Arrowhead Game Studios / PlayStation Publishing LLC), Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Square Enix), and Metaphor: ReFantazio (ATLUS / SEGA / Studio Zero).
Official co-streamers will also have the opportunity to stream this year's GDC Main Stage: A Developers Concert, featuring famed conductor Austin Wintory, happening on Wednesday, March 19 at 12:30pm PT.
The deadline to apply for consideration is Friday, February 21 at 11:59pm PT. Selected content creators will be notified by March 1.
