GDC Showcase is hosting its virtual networking through Gather, a video chat platform where attendees can create a unique avatar and explore our customized virtual space during open networking hours. Click here for a list of hotkeys for finding your way around effectively. Also, here's a video with details on how to use Gather as an attendee (keep in mind that the avatar design settings have been updated since this video was posted).
Once inside the GDC Showcase space, attendees can mingle at our group networking tables, organized by focus and discipline. To join a table, simply walk up to it and you will be able to interact with other folks at the table. You can join through a combination of video, audio, and text chat—whatever is more comfortable for you. There are fountain and virtual fireside spaces for general socializing and networking, as well as a select number of dedicated private networking tables limited to 2 or 4 attendees.
For those wanting to have some fun, head to our rooftop games pavilion—featuring a fully playable arcade, group games like One Night Werewolf and poker, video game trivia, and a Silent Disco! The game space is decorated for Pride Month, celebrating the incredible contributions from LGBTQ+ members in our game dev community.
Whenever it's time for a break, feel free to step into our Quiet Space for rest and relaxation. Attendees are welcome to enjoy on-demand meditation, sound bath therapy, and desk yoga—or simply take a pause in one of our private spaces.

GDC Showcase attendees will be required to follow our GDC Code of Conduct during their time in the virtual networking space. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the virtual event without warning or refund. GDC staff members will be on-hand to address any questions, concerns, or reports of inappropriate behavior.
