The Game Developers Conference has partnered with its network of hotels to establish a series of meeting hubs for GDC attendees. We've also compiled a comprehensive list of Hotel Walking Maps, which you can find here.
Meet the Industry's Best Game Devs at GDC 2025!
To participate in the GDC Travel Together program, use our map (shown below) to find your official travel zone and its “HQ Hotel.” Inside each HQ Hotel lobby will be a designated GDC meeting spot where you'll be provided with easy suggested walking directions to Moscone, via QR code. Conference Associates will be stationed at our HQ Hotels Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
For those who prefer to "travel together" in groups of two or more, our HQ Hotels serve as excellent meet-up spots. You can arrange a time to meet at your HQ Hotel lobby before heading to the Moscone Convention Center, or you can meet someone new to travel with. Our Conference Associates will be monitoring their HQ Hotel zones for safety, but make sure you confirm your travel buddy is a GDC 2025 attendee. (And if you're ever feeling uncomfortable, you can flag the onsite CA or call our 24/7 safety hotline at +1 925-852-4361.)

Room South 303 (South Hall)GDC Staff and Conference Associates will be on hand to help you find your zone and HQ Hotel, so you can meet and network with others who are also staying in your area.
For those who'd prefer an official guide, the Union Square Alliance provides walking escorts for GDC attendees staying near the convention center (coverage area is Moscone Center to Union Square). You can call member services at 415-781-4456 to request a walking escort. Please allow 30 minutes.
For those wanting further help making their way around San Francisco, keep an eye out for the city’s official Welcome Ambassadors—in their signature bright orange jackets, with the words “Welcome Ambassador” written on the back. These ambassadors can help with directions, transit questions, and safety concerns. You can find them at the Moscone Center, along with downtown BART stations, transit hubs, and key tourist locations.
