Visit alt.ctrl.GDC to see a showcase of alternative control schemes and interactions in games. Returning for a sixth year in 2019, alt.ctrl.GDC is one of GDC's most acclaimed interactive spaces where you can play games using alternative controllers and meet the developers.

alt.ctrl.GDC Award

For the third year alt.ctrl.GDC will award $3,000 to to the most engaging, intriguing, and well-executed game using unconventional, accessible or alternative physical controls entered into the alt.ctrl.GDC showcase. The award will be given out at the 2018 Independent Games Festival Ceremony held on Wednesday evening March 210, 2019 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

(Please note, if you submit to the IGF you must also submit separately to alt.ctrl.GDC to be considered for the alt.ctrl.GDC Award – the finalists and winner for this award will be selected from the participants of the alt.ctrl.GDC showcase, so please enter via that method.)
